Here’s my experience from using nana’s elixir every day. Castor oil seems
to have astringent like qualities to remove any ‘grit’ that accumulates
in the eyes. Whatever irritation I had seems to have dissipated.
Also, reducing blue light screen time helps with clearing blurry vision.
Now, it’s down to 2 to 3 hours a day. If I do watch more, I try to watch
the computer screen from at least 3 to 4 feet away.

I’ve been having eye issues lately – particularly with irritation and blurry vision; even though I practice eye exercises daily.
I think I can attribute these issues to excessive ‘blue-light’ exposure. Light emanating from computer screens and smart phones. I’m on these screens at least 3 to 5 hours a day. I believe I was up to 8 to 10 hours a day last year when I first noticed discomfort. I arrive at this conclusion because my farther-sighted vision is still fine when outdoors not looking at screens.
About a month ago, I decided to try an ol’ nana’s remedy – castor oil. I’ve been adding half a teaspoon of castor oil to every 4 ounces of liquid castille soap for my face washing routine. I’m hoping a little bit of soap and castor oil that seeps onto the eyes will be enough to help soothe irritation and clear blurry vision.
So far, it seems to have reduced irritation somewhat. Also, closer-up blurry vision has gotten a little better.
I’m hoping gradual less screentime along with using nana’s elixir will return eyes to basic health. If eyes regress back to previous irritation levels, I will let all know.
